About Us
From my earliest recollections as a child , I kept chinchillas, rabbits and hamsters and as a family we had a collie-cross, a retriever-cross and a spaniel. While still at school I did volountary work for the Guide Dogs for the Blind.
After leaving college, I worked at `Sablecomb Standard Poodle Kennels' , (my introduction to the breed) and used to look after `Sablecomb White Polar at Leander ' who was Reserve Supreme Crufts Champion in 1981.
Moving near London I trained as a Canine Beautician to City and Guilds standard and worked for many years as a groomer in London and managed a salon in Gerrards Cross in Buckinghamshire, grooming dogs for the rich and famous.

`Jazzy B'
Our Standard Poodle
My then `husband to be' who is allergic to dogs, used to pick me up after work and sneeze all the way home. How we never crashed is a mystery !!
After a spell without dogs while we had our children we finally moved to the New Forest in 2000 and I was in a position to have a dog of my own. My husbands allergies and my past history made choosing a poodle a fairly simple choice. Our black standard poodle `Jazzy B' is a firm favourite with the children and I have done obediance, agility and `heelwork to music' with him.
The introduction of Barbet`s into the household will add a new dimension and my children are hoping to take up `agility' and possibly `flyball' with them and once they have mastered the English language there is scope for obedience ( the dogs not the children!).
